Can You Dance To My Beat features Zepherin Saint exploring the influence of tropical music on the dance floor, with ace percussionist Oli Savil acting like a co-pilot as he adds extra live rhythms, which brings a unique live feel to the night. Its success is well-earned, as Zepherin Saint creates half-a-dozen or so remixes and re-edits for every event. 'It might be a real techy house tune where I'll put Egyptian percussion over the top, says Saint, 'or I may take a West African hi-life track and mix it with deep house. I did one of Bob Marley's "Exodus" in a house style with an Egyptian solo that went down amazingly last month.' Each month the CYDTMB crowd fly Club Class on a globe-trotting journey with Captain Zepherin Saint plotting the course, collecting Afro-rumba beats in Havana, the latest kuduro from Angola, infectious South African kwaito house and mesmerising middle eastern Khalegi rhythms, and mixing it all with house, club classics and so much more, as Oli Savill add layers of percussion passion too.
